Professional qualifications in Germany and Denmark
In Germany I am authorised by the President of the Schleswig-Holstein Higher Regional Court as a translator for Danish. In 2005, I was also appointed as a beskikket translatør og tolk by the Erhvervs- og Selskabsstyrelsen under Denmark's former authorisation scheme.
Denmark discontinued this scheme on 1 January 2016 and no new appointments are issued. For documents intended for use in Denmark, the applicable formal requirements depend on the type of document, its purpose and the specific recipient. I translate in both language directions.
